MR&D facilitated a comprehensive operational assessment and partnering initiative between Marine Corps Base Camp Blaz (MCBCB) and its facilities management contractor, KTH. The project aimed to evaluate current performance, identify operational gaps, and establish a collaborative framework for improving efficiency, accountability, and service delivery.
Through stakeholder workshops, performance reviews, and structured discussions, MR&D assessed key functional areas including quality assurance, safety, facilities management, technology utilization, communication, and resource optimization. The initiative highlighted challenges such as inconsistent documentation, data gaps, staffing shortages, and system integration issues, while also recognizing strengths in safety culture and partnership relations.
MR&D guided both parties in developing actionable solutions, including the implementation of standardized processes, enhanced communication protocols, workforce development plans, and improved use of technology platforms such as Maximo. The project resulted in a prioritized roadmap with measurable performance objectives, strengthening alignment between MCBCB and KTH and supporting long-term operational readiness and cost efficiency.
