IT&E Telecommunications Market Study (Consumer Focus Groups)

MR&D conducted a comprehensive qualitative research study on behalf of IT&E to assess consumer perceptions, preferences, and behaviors related to telecommunications services in Guam. The project aimed to better understand customer satisfaction, brand positioning, price sensitivity, and the key drivers influencing provider selection and switching behavior.

Through a series of structured focus groups, MR&D gathered insights from a diverse cross-section of residents segmented by age, income, gender, and ethnicity. Discussions explored topics such as service usage, brand awareness, loyalty, promotional effectiveness, and community engagement. Additional emphasis was placed on understanding consumer expectations for mobile, internet, and bundled services.

The study provided IT&E with actionable insights into competitive positioning relative to other providers, including GTA and Docomo Pacific. Findings informed strategic decisions related to marketing, product development, customer retention, and pricing strategies, enabling IT&E to better align its offerings with customer needs.
