The Challenge
MR&D is supporting stakeholder engagement for Guam’s solar energy sector as part of the Guam Energy Strategies initiative. The project aims to gather insights from local solar developers and installers to inform scenario modeling and future energy planning.
The MR&D Approach
MR&D is responsible for recruiting participants, coordinating a virtual orientation, conducting in-depth interviews with 7–11 key industry professionals, and facilitating a 2-hour consensus-building workshop. These activities will help NREL calibrate its modeling inputs based on real-world insights and foster collaborative relationships within Guam’s solar industry. Findings from this engagement will directly support data-driven decision-making for the territory’s renewable energy future.
