Event: Guam Industry Forum 2024

Organizers:

· Guam Post of the Society of American Military Engineers (S.A.M.E.)

· Supported by the Guam Contractors Association and the Guam Chamber of Commerce

Focus: Enhancing economic and infrastructural development in Guam and the Western Pacific region with emphasis on military and strategic facilities.

Objective:

Market Research & Development (MR&D) and RiMS are actively preparing for the upcoming Guam Industry Forum 2024, an event aimed at bringing together key stakeholders from defense, construction, supply, and services sectors. The Forum will serve as a platform to discuss the largest U.S. defense investment in the region’s infrastructure, valued at over $11 billion in upcoming military, commercial construction, and service contracts over the next five years.

Conference Goals:

  • Provide networking opportunities for companies to participate in ongoing construction and infrastructure development initiatives.

  • Highlight business opportunities for defense, commercial construction, supply, and service companies within the region.

  • Foster partnerships between U.S., Guam, and regional businesses to support long-term economic growth in the Western Pacific.

  • Discuss the challenges and strategies for successful military and strategic facility development, with a focus on collaboration between private companies and U.S. military and Guam government officials.

MR&D and RiMS Role:

  • Coordination & Planning: Ensuring seamless logistics, speaker coordination, and development of materials for the conference, including visuals, displays, and presentations.

  • Strategic Support: Aligning with S.A.M.E. and Guam Post’s objectives, MR&D and RiMS will offer their expertise to attract key industry leaders and decision-makers to the event.

  • Communication & Outreach: Promoting the forum through outreach efforts to stakeholders, including government officials, contractors, and business leaders, to ensure a successful turnout and engagement.

  • Facilitation: Helping to organize discussions, panels, and presentations that will focus on the strategic importance of Guam’s defense build-up and the economic opportunities it presents.

Key Participants:

  • Defense contractors, architects, engineers, suppliers, and service providers from the U.S., Guam, and the broader Pacific region.

  • High-level U.S. military and Government of Guam officials.

  • Business leaders from both public and private sectors, particularly those involved in construction, design, supply, and services.
