Research Assistant
The Research Assistant provides support for customers by performing a variety of routine tasks and ad hoc projects as assigned by the MR&D Management team members and management.
· Process quantitative data sets and clean and format codebooks utilizing SPSS and Excel data basses under supervision by senior research analysts.
· Process open-ended responses to written and electronic questionnaires by coding and organizing responses according to specifications of senior research analysts.
· Prepare Excel and SPSS tables as specified by senior research analysts.
· Provide specified contact with clients regarding research projects.
· Recruit participants for qualitative research projects including focus groups and non-directed interviews.
· Prepare transcripts of focus groups and non-directed interviews under supervision of senior research analysts.
· Prepare presentations and ad hoc reports as requested based on instructions given.
· Record all customer contacts, prepare minutes of client meetings and develop issue resolution tracking reports for specific clients.
· Participation in Special Projects as requested.
· Maintain website updates of projects and programs as directed by management.
· Manage and maintain company social media information
EXPERIENCE:
· B.A. with experience in processing statistical data sets.
· 1 to 4 years experience directly supporting staff members in a problem solving, research or sales capacity preferred.
· Proficient written and verbal communication skills required including excellent listening skills
· Excellent PC skills required with intermediate level Excel skills in order to independently create and analyze spreadsheets.
· Analytical ability and knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistical procedures.
· Basic knowledge of SPSS, Excel and Access software.
· Excellent writing and presentation skills.
· Courteous, patient, energetic and an enthusiastic personality with professional demeanor
· Ability to multi task and remain composed under pressure

Airport Survey Representative

Survey Field Supervisor/Technician
- Market Research & Development, Inc. (MR&D) is tasked to conduct visitor exit surveys at Guam International Airport and visitor-directed events. This process involves face-to-face interactions with travelers from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, the Philippines, and the U.S. The collected data will support the analysis of visitor experiences and tourism trends.
The Field Supervisor/Technician is a professional with the knowledge and experience to plan, direct and supervise survey interviewers who conduct survey and research activities. The Field/Supervisor is responsible for ensuring quality assurance is gathered to produce useful data sets for decision-making utilizing Power BI for analytics and reporting.
The Survey Field Supervisor must possess strong organizational and communication skills to ensure that the survey process adheres to the scope, timeline, and budget specified by the data analysis team.
1. Train new survey interviewers in survey methodology, cultural sensitivity, and security protocols.
2. Supervise and coordinate survey interviewer teams to ensure the required data collection target numbers, as well as the number of various visitor nationalities at gate and central locations are met.
3. Ensure unbiased engagement and proper sampling techniques in all survey activities.
4. Ensure surveyors approach every departing passenger at designated collection points.
5. Oversee the administration of QR code and tablet-based surveys at airport gates and visitor events.
6. Conduct quality assurance checks, including reviewing survey completion rates and capturing flight board details for verification.
7. Utilize Power BI for interactive dashboards, data integration, advanced analytics, and dynamic reporting.
8. Ensure the data collection is properly processed and transmitted. The Field Supervisor/Technician is responsible for appropriate corrective actions related to attendance, punctuality, the required number of surveys to be conducted, including the documentation of the same.
9. The Field Supervisor/Technician is expected to cover in the absence of a Survey Interviewer.
10. Collaborate with Guam International Airport Authority (GIAA) to maintain security clearance compliance.
· Bachelor’s degree in business, data analytics, social sciences, or a related field preferred.
· Experience with survey administration, data collection, and research methodologies.
· Proficiency in Power BI for data analysis and visualization.
· Strong leadership and team management skills.
· Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
· Must be eligible to obtain security clearance for airport access.
· Must be flexible

Survey Interviewer Representative

The Survey Interviewer Representative conducts visitor exit surveys at the Guam International Airport and visitor-directed events. The role involves face-to-face interactions with travelers from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, the Philippines, and the U.S. The collected data will support the analysis of visitor experiences and tourism trends.
· Collect 350 Japanese and 350 Korean visitor surveys monthly.
· Conduct biannual surveys for travelers from Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, the Philippines, and U.S. outbound flights.
· Approach every departing passenger at designated survey collection points near the Lotte Exit areas and flight gates.
· Administer surveys via QR code or provided tablet, ensuring immediate responses.
· Conduct visitor experience surveys at Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB)-sponsored events, including concerts and block parties.
· Capture flight details, times, and dates via photographs of flight boards for quality assurance.
· Ensure a professional and unbiased approach in all survey interactions.
· Adhere to all airport security and operational protocols including Market Research & Development policies and procedures.
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Comfortable engaging with diverse populations.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet survey collection targets.
· Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or research preferred.
