The Challenge
MR&D is working with WSP and the Commonwealth Office of Transit Authority (COTA) in conducting a Ferry Feasibility Study and Transportation Masterplan for the Northern Mariana Islands. The project aims to assess the potential for an inter-island ferry system connecting Saipan, Tinian, Rota, and Guam, and to develop a comprehensive transportation strategy that improves regional connectivity and economic resilience.
The MR&D Approach
MR&D’s role includes stakeholder engagement, visitor exit surveys, and data collection to inform planning, policy, and infrastructure recommendations aligned with long-term transit goals.
